political boundaries

Hi all,

I am new to this list and hope to learn a lot on dplot. I am interested in a surface contour and asking if it is possible to overlay countries boundaries.

Search for "overlay" in the forum messages. It's not an officially documented capability, but David has incorporated some functionality to combine map data with surface data.

Here is one that I did:

Also, in David's blog, check a section called "Plot Overlays" from July 18, 2009. He goes into detail about the procedure.
