Average Duplicate X command
David, in 2.3.4.5, with this new function for averaging duplicate x's, if I DON'T check "Replace input", am I supposed to get a new curve? I've got a large dataset, the curve I'm working with has 4.6m points, and if I don't check the box, nothing seems to happen. There's no hidden curve either. If I check the box, I get the expected change to the curve that I worked on. I just wanted the original and averaged curve to display at the same time so that I could check the results.

Yes. If the problem is insufficient memory you should get a MessageBox telling you that. Next time you're about to do this, try first allocating a new curve by double-clicking on the "Max. size" entry on the status bar.if I DON'T check "Replace input", am I supposed to get a new curve?

PS: There is one more possibility. If the plugin doesn't find any duplicate X's it won't do anything. It won't complain - it just won't create a new curve. You might want to scan through your data and make sure you really do have duplicate X's.

I didn't get a message about memory being exceeded, but I just tried allocating memory for another curve, and this time it worked, ie, Replace input was unchecked, so a new curve was added on top of the original curve. And I definitely had multiple Y's for many X's - I need to talk to the engineer about his data!
So thanks for your help! (But yes, seems like the plugin needs a tiny tweak...)
