The obvious reasons would be that DPlot has closed (whether purposefully or not) or that document #1 has no data - no plot, in other words.
If you're running DPlot hidden then neither of these conditions will be obvious. If you're running it hidden I'd suggest making it visible and seeing if you can recreate the error.
