Labeling point on XY chart.

Post by arannak »

Greetings,

I am trying to label a specific point X500 Y2500 along the curve. When I use menu-label points and - say jump to X500 nothing happen. I also tried ruler, but it gives me max and min value only.

Any ideas?

With love,

Alex.

Just so we're clear, you should be entering the value 500 in the X= box before clicking the Go button, not "X500". When you click the Go button, you should then see the crosshairs move to X=500 (or, more correctly, to the data point nearest X=500) and the values underneath the scrollbar to the left should show X=<point closest to 500>. If that's not what you see please let me know. And you aren't done yet: no label will be drawn unless you either enter text in the Label box or check the Use amplitude only box.

I have not realised that I have to enter point co-ordinates into data table. Now that it`s done I was able to label it.

My initial idea was to enter 2 pairs of XY co-ordinates and then use ruler to move along X axis within specified XY relationship parameters. Hope it make sense :)

I have to say DPlot is quite easy to use comparing to other programs that I tried. It`s more user friendly.
