I am trying out Demo v2.0.5.7 and I have a question about coloring a Contour Plot.
I think I understand how the Lines/Levels and Colors features operate in the Contour Plot Options Dialog.
But I want to do something a little different, and color the contour based on a value other than Z.
Imagine a Contour Plot of a motor vehicle fuel injection map.
From experimenting with the demo, it appears like a straightforward XYZ Excel data import.
X is engine RPM, Y is manifold pressure in kPa, and Z is injector pulsewidth in ?sec say.
The 'general' overall shape of the contour looks like a section of a mountain surface.
Now, visualize a few small depressions or craters in the mountain surface.
I want to color the craters separately from the remaining surface of the mountain.
Color Intervals between the small 'crater' and the remaining surface would be SUPER.
Maybe use three columns of data for the color, Red, Green, Blue?
EXTRA: While I am thinking about it, being able to export the RGB data from a DPlot v2.0 interval-colored contour would really be great. Then, a separate section of the contour could be manually edited for color in Excel, using a different or highlight color. Again Color Intervals would be nice.

Unless I misunderstand what you want, you're looking for a 4D plot, where the shape of the surface is determined by X,Y,Z and the colors or contour lines are based on some 4th dimension.
There is a 4D version of DPlot that was created for a contract job and I should have released this to the world by now. I'll make an effort to have this done for the next update.
