Remove axes

Post by seekbeacon »

It would be useful to be able to just switch all the axes off (if it exists I haven't yet found it as a newbie) when you just want to use a waveform shape in another drawing - at the moment I am setting the scale to 'none', the axes lines to white, and arrowheads off - bit long-winded....

This isn't documented well, but if you select Options>Symbol/Line styles and set the width of the lines used for the axes to any negative number, they won't be drawn. Same for grid lines.

To get rid of the numbers (which you've likely already found), right-click on any of the numbers along an axis and select 'None' for the format.

Removing one axis only

Post by sabieh »

I have an xy graph and I only want to remove the y axis, and preserve the x axis as it is. How is that possible? Thanks in advance for the help.

The closest you can come to doing that is to use Options>Extents/Intervals/Size, check "Specify interval" under "Tick Marks", and use an interval on the Y axis that is the same as the Y extents.

OK, thanks, but I'd still put it on your list of minor improvements
