I produced a bar chart with custom x-axis labels using Text>X,Y Labels...
The labels were quite lengthy and spanned more than the cluster of bars they were meant to describe, so I tried making them angled at 45 degrees or even vertical using the "Orientation" option in the number format options.
The problem then was that they then extended out of the visible region of the plot. Resizing the plot uisng Option>Events/Intervals/Size... did not help.
Any suggestions? I will email the plot to support@dplot.com

What version are you using? 2.0.5 should be taking the size of the labels into account; previous versions didn't.
Also - this isn't available yet, but I saw the same problem with the Add-In BarChart function and changed it such that if you have more than 10 labels the orientation is set to vertical.

Okay, the upgrade to 2.0.5 fixed my last problem but seems to have created a new one.
Previously when using horizontal labels for individual or groups of bars (set from Text > X,Y Labels...), I could also have a generic x-axis label (set from Text > Titles/Axes...). Now, when I open an old graph with both sets of labels, or create a new graph, the labels are superimposed.
I realise can shift the X,Y Labels down using the offset, but what I really want is the x-axis label at the bottom, and the bar labels above that (and in a different font).

You can add a blank line (or several) to your X axis label. In the example you sent if you preface the X axis label with "\n" then it all fits.
