Plot on x and y axis

I am trying to plot number pairs like (5,-3). I there anyway of plotting and showing the plot with a dot. Can I make the x and y axis cross

Yes, with a dot or any of the other 37 symbols supported. Right-click on the curve and select "Symbol type". Or select Options>Symbol/Line Types.

I'm not sure what you're asking here, but check Options>Grid lines or Box>Axes at 0.
