Distribution of curve symbols

When one wants to differentiate between plots using curve symbols, is there a way to not associate each and every data point with a symbol? For instance, when I have a 1000 data points for a very high-resolution curve, the symbols all moosh together into one very thick line. It would be more ...

Conversion of filenames to lower-case

I've noticed that when I save change to a file that had originally had capital letters in its filename, the old filename is written over in lower-case letters only. A minor glitch, but a little annoying.

Should have tried this first, but I figured the files were in some sort of weird encoding. Anyways...

I created another test graph with two lines just like the one that was giving me errors, and opened both in Notepad. I found that they differed at the following lines:

"LineWidths

"Error procesing keyword: linewidths in file xxxxx.grf&

I closed my plot without any trouble, but when I went to open it back up again, I got the following error:

"Error procesing keyword: linewidths in file xxxxx.grf"

where the x's are the file path.

What's up? Should I send you the file so you can look at its guts and figure out what's wrong?

How to have curve fits intersect at a given value?

I was wondering if there is a way to use the "Polynomial Curve Fit..." function in such a way that it forces the fit to intersect at a certain value. In Excel, there is such an ability when one adds a trendline.

On a related note, it would be really cool to have the ability to add a tangent line to ...

How to create a plot like "ex12.grf"

I need to be able to create design curves of the form seen in "ex12.grf" that comes with the installation. I can figure most of how the plot was created, but I can't figure out how the plot was made to generate the curve labels all around the edge of the box. Could someone help me out with this ...
