DPlot

Hi,

Since it often occurs that I and probably others have more than two (associated but without common Y-values) curves plotted in one (2D-)graph, it can be a problem that at max. only two Y-axes can be shown.

I think it would be very convenient if more than two Y-axes could be present in the graph. I was thinking the following layout would be praktical:
- Y1 on left, Y2 optional: on right hand side of the grid or on the right hand side from Y1.
- or maybe instead: if two curves present then Y1 and Y2 are placed like now and if more than two plots are present then all Y-axes are placed on the left of the graph.
- Y3 ... Yx on the right hand side from Y1
- grid goes all the way up to Y1
- curves and X-axis starting value begins at the most right Y-axis.

To distinguish them I think using colors would be the best solution: Y-axis same color as associated curve.
Ideal would be if the numbers along the Y-axes also have the curve color but unfortunately this might be a problem: all text in a graph for some reason (must) have the same color (or has that been changed lately?).
In the past I requested for being able to give e.g. notes, labels, legends, etc. but I think this hasn't been implemented (yet?).

Anyway, I hope the "true" multiple axes feature sounds useful and will be considered.

All good ideas, thanks. It has been considered for quite a while; it's just a matter of finding the time to do it.

I would love to be able to plot 5 or 6 independent Y axis. Currently I use a home grown M file in Matlab to create plots that have more then two Y axis. It gets the job done but it is cumbersome. Each Y axis is placed on the left side of the plot. Each axis is a different color and the curve color matches the axis. Data markers are used to differentiate the different curves on the axis.

Please offer multiple yaxis. I have many variables that are best seen at the same time, to figure out what happened when and caused a shutdown.
