DPlot

With 1.9.9.5, when I print a plot the legend text is rotated 90 degrees. Is there any way around this? I am not using a Legend title or curve label just the legend.

I'm not seeing anything like this. Do you get this behavior with the example plots? For example ex01.grf? If not, please save your plot to a DPlot file and send it to me. In either case, please let me know a) what version of Windows you're using and b) what printer you're using.

I am using XP SP1 and a postscript printer, a Canon C3200 color printer.
The ex01 plot prints fine. I even made the legend text much longer to see if that is the problem and it was not.
I then tried to print on a black & white HP 8100DN, which worked fine.
I then tried to print to a file using both of these printers to choose the driver. The Canon file could neither be read using ghostscript or converted to a pdf using distiller. The HP file was fine in both cases.
How do I submit the file?

The only thing that stands out in the file is that you're using "Arial" for all text selections other than the legend. For the legend you're using "Arial Unicode MS". My guess is the printer driver for your PS printer isn't properly handling that font, and if you switched to "Arial" that it will be fine.

Since you mentioned Distiller, one other thing you might be interested in but unaware of: you should see "Acrobat Distiller" as one of your available printers in DPlot. If you want to create a PDF file of your plot, use that driver.

That fixed it. Now it prints and I am able to use distiller to pdf it. The "Arial Unicode MS" is the default font for the legend because I did not choose it. You might want to change that.

I see "Adobe PDF" as a printer, not distiller. It was not working with the other font but works now.

A bit beside the point since it's working now, but FYI I'm 100% certain that DPlot didn't choose "Arial Unicode MS" on its own. However, whatever fonts are in use when you shut down DPlot become the new defaults. This is true even if you just open a DPlot file (which includes font info) provided by someone else and never personally edit the fonts.
