Is it possible to create a colour contoured tri-plot? I can create a tri-plot with scatter data or a coloured contoured xyz surface plot but what I need is a combination of those two plots.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for here, and an example (if you have one) might be helpful.

It sounds like you want a contour/surface plot on a tripartite grid. If so, no: DPlot won't do that. The best you can do on a tripartite scale is a bubble plot, with x,y, and implied z in one curve, bubble amplitudes taken from the y values in a second curve.

If you don't need a tripartite grid but simply want the shape to be triangular, read your x,y,z data then see Options>Define Boundary.

Thanks. I dont need a tripartite plot but i'm not sure the define boundary gets me what I need (unless I haven't worked it right). I have an example plot but how do I add it to the message?[/img]
