Curve Fit Plugin - Labels

In using the curve fit plugin, it seems that the label text has an extra letter tacked on to the end of the label itself. Example:

y=3.21{\s´}10{\u4}x{\u-0.8401}V <--<< what is this "V"?

The letter varies.

Didn't see anything in the help files - does this indicate something, or is it a bug?
