Thicken the Handle of an Arrowhead

I find that the handle of an arrowhead added by the use of Text->Label Points (for indexing to a curve) is too thin when printed, especially when the plot is copied to Word and the plot is reduced in size. The handle becomes very blur.

Is there any way to thicken the handle of an arrowhead? Is there any way to reduce the width of the arrowhead so that the arrow thus produced is more "streamlined?" Thanks for advice.

I'll add arrow/line shape and dimensions to the to-do list. Thanks for the suggestion.
