David,
Hate to see the change, but I understand. I think I retired about the same time as you did, so I only use the software occasionally. But I did leave behind some younger engineers who got hooked on DPlot, so I hope the new company can support them.
Regards,
Jon

Split at X?
Okay, there is a "Split at Y" in the generate menu. Is there an easy way to split a curve at an "X" position. I'm rusty - maybe I forgot a method that I should remember, but I'm not finding a menu entry or in the help. I guess one way to brute force it would be to copy a curve, t...

Yes, I've been called stubborn before - half Italian and half German - I can be stubborn with a passion! I was just trying to understand why a curve cut off in the middle of my plot - was my fault for using YCutoff in the macro! And working with the large data sets, I had to pre-set the arrays to al...

Limits
I think I found a DPlot limit - it's not liking 11 curves with 5,320,130 points each! And while investigating why a curve just seemed to "stop" 1/2 of the way through the time scale, when I did an "Edit Data" on one of the curves, I realized that the row labels in the edit box on...

Yes, I just noticed this as well, wondering if I changed some setting someplace. David, regardless of the Excel 2013 append-fix status, are you planning on a bug fix release in the near future? We are no higher than Excel 2010-32bit here at work (and I'm still getting away with 2007 because I refuse...

Status line call-outs
I may have asked about this before, but will try again if I haven't. In the status line, you now show X, Y, and Y2 if there is a Y2 axis defined. How about showing X2 if there is an X2 axis defined? There are several other places where the X2 and Y2 information would be helpful to see as well - scan...

Thanks, but runsum is not quite ready for prime time! (Definitely needs to be able to select a curve(s), and the generated curves are not labeled.) Guess I'll stick with what I'm doing. I have 4 or 5 data curves, and using stacked IF statements comparing Y values in several of the curves, I assign 1...

Label points - copy above options to all existing labels
David, in the label points dialog, there is a checkbox to "copy the above options to all existing labels". Seems like this refers to only the Frame, Vertical, Opaque, Mouse-activated, and color options. I was hoping it meant the Label option as well, but it seems it does not. (ie, I change...

Another thought about this function. (They're coming harder and harder...thoughts, that is.) Any chance of showing the x-position in the lower left status area before you click the first marker? And then let it show the 2nd x-position before the mouse button is released? It would enhance the ability...

I didn't get a message about memory being exceeded, but I just tried allocating memory for another curve, and this time it worked, ie, Replace input was unchecked, so a new curve was added on top of the original curve. And I definitely had multiple Y's for many X's - I need to talk to the engineer a...

Average Duplicate X command
David, in 2.3.4.5, with this new function for averaging duplicate x's, if I DON'T check "Replace input", am I supposed to get a new curve? I've got a large dataset, the curve I'm working with has 4.6m points, and if I don't check the box, nothing seems to happen. There's no hidden curve ei...

I was thinking of doing that, and after I did, I got a bar chart that I don't quite know what's going on. Aside from my inability to fully comprehend the bar width and group width relationship, the bars on the right side of the plot aren't showing where I think they should show. I'll send an email w...

Suppress 0 labels in a bar chart
I just pasted a 1-D list of dates representing a failed part's build week into a blank window in DPlot. A date for every failed part. Then I asked DPlot to do a histogram with a 7 day interval. I got a bar chart and it looks correct, properly spread out over 3 years of production. But I would like t...
