David,
Hate to see the change, but I understand. I think I retired about the same time as you did, so I only use the software occasionally. But I did leave behind some younger engineers who got hooked on DPlot, so I hope the new company can support them.
Regards,
Jon

I think I have had similar situations, Win7x64, even w 8gb memory, and several large plots open. I would try to save carefully, and if I "got lost" because I wasn't sure what plot that I was dealing with, I would close everything and just start over. I never was so clever as to try to redraw the ...

David,
Thanks. That works, but I have to tell you that lately every time I touch DPlot, I get a new glitch. After I copied the truncated curves back to my original plot, I next did a "Find Intersections" between that line and the longer line that I had not truncated. The command completed and added ...

Split at X?
Okay, there is a "Split at Y" in the generate menu. Is there an easy way to split a curve at an "X" position. I'm rusty - maybe I forgot a method that I should remember, but I'm not finding a menu entry or in the help.
I guess one way to brute force it would be to copy a curve, then paste it back ...

David, I'm using Edit Mode on a large gps trace to clean up some spikes in the data. Edit Mode is great, and I remembered the "Delete" button (!), but is there a way to do more than one point at a time? After I click delete, I have to click OK to close the dialog before clicking the next point. I ...

Limits
I think I found a DPlot limit - it's not liking 11 curves with 5,320,130 points each!
And while investigating why a curve just seemed to "stop" 1/2 of the way through the time scale, when I did an "Edit Data" on one of the curves, I realized that the row labels in the edit box only were 6 digits ...

Status line call-outs
I may have asked about this before, but will try again if I haven't.
In the status line, you now show X, Y, and Y2 if there is a Y2 axis defined.
How about showing X2 if there is an X2 axis defined?
There are several other places where the X2 and Y2 information would be helpful to see as well ...

Thanks, but runsum is not quite ready for prime time! (Definitely needs to be able to select a curve(s), and the generated curves are not labeled.) Guess I'll stick with what I'm doing. I have 4 or 5 data curves, and using stacked IF statements comparing Y values in several of the curves, I assign 1 ...

You must mean "Integrate a Curve". (There's no other "running total" command in 2.3.5.3??) Yes, I saw that, but didn't try it because I thought it acted "odd" the last time I played with it. But now I see it actually does do a SUMY() as I thought it should. But that process still generates 2 curves ...

Label points - copy above options to all existing labels
David, in the label points dialog, there is a checkbox to "copy the above options to all existing labels". Seems like this refers to only the Frame, Vertical, Opaque, Mouse-activated, and color options. I was hoping it meant the Label option as well, but it seems it does not. (ie, I changed $X,$Y to ...

Using Bar Chart (Label, Y1, Y2,...) from Excel 2007 I get what DWW describes, ie, the X-axis labels are set one set to the right. The label "Umbria" does not show on the plotted data - it's off screen to the right.
However, it seems that the cause is the extra empty line between the first and third ...

And even when you force a reference line by temporarily changing the axis from a time to a number format, if you change the x-axis back to a time scale, you can't edit the position of the reference line - the line disappears. Not only that, what you thought you edited is some other value, "miles ...

Average Duplicate X command
David, in 2.3.4.5, with this new function for averaging duplicate x's, if I DON'T check "Replace input", am I supposed to get a new curve? I've got a large dataset, the curve I'm working with has 4.6m points, and if I don't check the box, nothing seems to happen. There's no hidden curve either. If I ...

Suppress 0 labels in a bar chart
I just pasted a 1-D list of dates representing a failed part's build week into a blank window in DPlot. A date for every failed part. Then I asked DPlot to do a histogram with a 7 day interval. I got a bar chart and it looks correct, properly spread out over 3 years of production. But I would like ...
